Kia to Launch Affordable EV2 Electric Car – Potential Successor to Soul EV

Kia recently unveiled its plans for an upcoming electric vehicle lineup, aiming to expand its offerings in the electric vehicle (EV) market. Kia EV5:

It is expected to offer up to 330 miles of range. There is also a longer-range version with an 88 kWh battery, providing an estimated range of 447 miles. The EV5 includes features like a connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) infotainment system with a Panoramic Wide display and dual 12.3″ screens.

New EV2 Model:

Kia has announced a new electric vehicle, the EV2, with a target price of approximately $30,000. The EV2 is expected to be a unique and significant addition to the European market. While details about the model are not fully disclosed, it may take the form of an electric hatchback or crossover, continuing Kia’s emphasis on SUVs. The vehicle will likely adopt Kia’s signature design elements and ride on an upgraded 400V E-GMP platform. Production is set to begin in 2025, with deliveries starting the following year.
