Nashville, TN, 2nd July 2025, ZEX PR WIRE, Drug-Free Tennessee, in coordination with the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, has just completed a successful month-long campaign bringing the truth about drugs to communities across Tennessee and Alabama. Throughout June, volunteers reached thousands with educational materials, public pledges, and face-to-face outreach to promote healthy, drug-free living.
The campaign launched on June 14 in Ripley, Tennessee, where Drug-Free Tennessee partnered with an NFL youth football camp. Youth attendees received Truth About Drugs educational booklets and were invited to take the drug-free pledge—an opportunity many eagerly embraced.
The following weekend, on June 21, the team brought its message to Nashville, reaching even more people during another football camp at East Nashville Magnet High School. Volunteers distributed drug education materials and had youth pledge to live drug-free and pursue their goals.
On June 28, the campaign continued in Alabama, rounding out three weekends in a row of hands-on community involvement.
A major highlight of the month was Nashville’s FIFA World Cup events, where Drug-Free World ambassadors were on hand to engage with fans from all over the globe. Volunteers passed out hundreds of Truth About Drugs booklets to attendees, many of whom expressed appreciation for the informative and eye-opening content.
In honor of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, observed globally on June 26, volunteers took to the streets once more to reach even more individuals with the facts about drug abuse and how to avoid it. The initiative aligned with this important United Nations-designated day to raise awareness about the global drug problem and promote action.
“We’ve seen incredible response throughout this campaign,” said Julie Brinker, ambassador for Drug-Free Tennessee. “Whether in Ripley, Nashville, or along the path of the FIFA World Cup events, people are hungry for the truth about drugs. Education is our most powerful weapon in the fight against addiction.”
The Truth About Drugs program is a global drug education initiative designed to empower youth and adults with factual information so they can make informed decisions. Booklets, videos, and full educational curricula are available free of charge at www.drugfreeworld.org.
