New York, New York – The highly anticipated Brooklyn Fare Kitchen & Market on the Lower East Side is now open for business. Located at 227 Cherry Street between Pike Street and Frank T. Modica Way in One Manhattan Square, the 800-foot luxury residential tower developed by Extell, Brooklyn Fare occupies the first two floors with frontage along Cherry Street.
The 25,500-square-foot store is the largest of Brooklyn Fare’s three other Manhattan locations, and the only on the east side. Inside, shoppers will find a vast selection of unique specialty, gourmet, and international items, everyday grocery essentials, prepared foods, fresh produce, organic and vegan options, private label products, and more. Complimentary delivery is offered within a ten-block radius of the store for orders over $35. Brooklyn Fare also offers a frequent shoppers’ card good at all of its Manhattan locations that offers savings off of future purchases once ten punches are accrued.

About Brooklyn Fare
Founded in 2009 in Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Fare is the vision of Moe Issa, who was raised in the neighborhood and realized that there was a need for a quality grocer after driving a Pepsi truck route in the 1980s and 90s. With his commitment to bringing an outstanding selection at affordable prices to the community, Moe opened his first store at the corner of Schermerhorn and Hoyt. In addition to groceries, the Brooklyn store also housed the celebrated tasting menu restaurant, Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare, which became the borough’s only Michelin three-star restaurant before it relocated to Manhattan in 2016.
Family owned and operated, Brooklyn Fare merges Moe’s vision of providing high quality foods with familiar products in a convenient and approachable shopping experience. The concept took hold, and he successfully opened his first Manhattan location at 431 West 37th Street in the Hudson Yards neighborhood followed by a second at 666 Greenwich Street in the historic Archive Building. The third Manhattan location at 75 West End Avenue opened in 2021 is the company’s first store on the Upper West Side. The addition of Cherry Street marks the fourth Manhattan location and Brooklyn Fare’s first on the east side. For more information, please visit www.BrooklynFare.com.
